Visa Information

Visa information and permit- for our international clients a valid passport and visa is must to travel in Leh, If you want to explore whole ladakh, 10 days is minimum. 
Inner line permit is applicable for all tourists either Indian or foreigner is must to travel across leh, it can be applied as soon as you reach Leh.

Flights & Transportation

Flights and transportation One can reach Leh either by flight or by road, daily flights from Delhi are operated, one can reach Leh by road from Srinagar Leh highway or Manali leh highway.

Delhi to leh via Srinagar- 961 km
Delhi to leh via Manali- 823 km

Health & Safety

The high altitudes of the Classic Journey Adventures mandate that we take health precautions with utmost caution and care. 

It is mandatory for everyone on the trip to have the Government of India issue certificates of the first dose, a second dose and a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccinations supplied by any well-known and reputed company.

We also insist that the tourists disclose of their health issues, if any, before leaving on the trip. Availability of sophisticated medical equipment at such high altitudes is minimal. We insist you carry your personal medications with you.

Safety precautions, in terms of equipment and bikes, will be taken care by us.

Insurance

Bike insurance only claimable if you have damaged the bike beyond repair. insurance covers 80% of the damage occurred, remaining 20% to be paid by the customer. Insurance claimable if the cost arises upto more than 30000 INR.

Climate

Ladakh has a very dry desert climate with plenty of sunshine. Tourists can travel in leh in between the months of April to October. June and July being the warmest of the year. Snow Leopard Expedition and The world famous Chadar trek occurs between December and January.

 A valid driving license is must for renting or driving a bike in Leh,if you really want to travel Leh on a bike then you can hire a local bike rider who has a valid driving license.

If you are travelling in a bike group, a back up vehicle is provided in that group, the bike will be loaded in that vehicle as well as you. in case you are riding solo without a back up vehicle. a transportation vehicle will be provided with an extra cost chargeable as per the rates.
fuel and fuel stations- it depends on which type of package you have booked, a package with fuel included or without fuel. There are few fuel stations scattered all over Ladakh but not all places. We will make sure that you never run out of fuel as some tours need extra fuel to be carried.
In case of an engine seizure it is our responsibility to provide you with another bike or transport you and the bike with no extra cost. 
Note- engine failure occurring because of the customer e.g not turning off the bike main switch resulting in low battery and negligence or irresponsible driving will result in an extra cost chargeable.

The most bikes that run all over Ladakh is the royal enfield himalayan with most mechanic shops. As the Himalayan being an adventure bike made for the himalayas is the perfect bike for the tough terrain or roads of Ladakh, In case you are short heighted the Royal Enfield Scram( smaller version of Himalayan) which has the same specs of the himalayan with a low ride height is the best for you
