There are beautiful vistas to see on the route from Srinagar to Kargil. One will see the magnificent Dal Lake in addition to the most beautiful scenery. The journey is more picturesque because of the maple trees that line the route. When travelling to Leh-Ladakh, the ideal time to see Srinagar and Kargil.
Start from Leh to Srinagar. An easy and comfortable trip due to the tarmac roads.
Visit Shalimar Bagh in the morning. Enjoy the beauty of the chinar (maple) trees. Visit the city centre of Srinagar, Lal Chowk and the market. Evening at Mughal Darbar.
Trip to Gorez Valley via Peer Baba Pass, the highest pass in Kashmir. Socialize with the military people. Visit a cafe in Gorez. Stay the night.
Another night camp-stargazing, see Himalayan black and brown bear and enjoy the views of Pak town.
Pelgaum Kashmir great lakes trek. Enjoy adventurous sports in Gulmarg – gondola rides, skiing, snowboarding (seasonal)
Visit Sonmarg for leopard watch. Stay the night.
Back to Srinagar through Dachigam for black bear spotting, feeding black bears. Houseboat (optional if not wildlife) for Dal lake. Stay the night in Khibbar resorts.
Visit Pulwama. Return to Leh.
Kargil and Srinagar are situated about 8,780 feet above sea level. The temperatures ideally range between -6°C — -17°C. You should carry woollen clothes and sweaters with you throughout your time. The hilly terrain can also be a challenge for experienced riders. Make sure you are fully equipped with your riding gear (helmets, gloves and other equipment). Also make sure to have a toolkit handy capable of managing tiring inflations and deflations, which can be caused by the changing atmospheric pressures.

For the non-vegetarians, we would be adopting the dry meat culture and also trying underground meat. Apricot here is the best around the globe. Fields also have fresh cabbage, tomatoes, and lettuce.
It is mandatory for everyone on the trip to have the Government of India issue certificates of the first dose, a second dose and a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccinations supplied by any well-known and reputed company.
The high altitudes may cause acute mountain sickness. They are common and mild, but some cases can be life-threatening. Symptoms include nausea, headache, shortness of breath and inability to exercise. Severe cases might require oxygen, and medications and move to lower altitudes.
