The villages of Diskit, Turtuk and Hunder flaunt a large diversity in their gompas (monastries) and landscapes. The Maitreya Buddha Statue, Zamskhang Palace and Yarab Tso Lake are one of the best places in the entire world to hang a picture frame of with your family and friends. And finally, there cannot be a better show stopper than the sunset at the Hunder Desert.

Freshening up at accommodations. Diskit Gompa (Monastery) visit. Lunch in Diskit, followed by a visit to the Maitreya Buddha statue. Head over to Sumur Village. Overnight stay at Sumur.
Early start to Turtuk village. Visit the fields of Turtuk village. Visit Balti Heritage Museum. Visit the King in Royal Palace. Lunch in Turtuk. Post lunch, journey to the Hunder desert for sunset views. Back to Sumur accommodation.
Return journey after breakfast.
Nubra Valley is situated about 10,000 feet above sea level. The temperatures ideally range between 1-11 °C (33-52 °F). It is advisable that you carry woollen clothes and sweaters with you throughout your time in Nubra Valley. The hilly terrain can also be a challenge for experienced riders. Make sure you are fully equipped with your riding gear (helmets, gloves and other equipment). Also make sure to have a toolkit in handy capable of managing tiring inflations and deflations, which can be caused by the changing atmospheric pressures.

To experience Nubra to its fullest, we will be limiting ourselves to delicious local meals. Snacks would include Khambir Bread and Namkeen Chai. For the non-vegetarians, we would be adopting the dry meat culture and also trying underground meat. Apricot here is the best around the globe. Fields also have fresh cabbage, tomatoes, and lettuce.
It is mandatory for everyone on the trip to have the Government of India issue certificates of the first dose, a second dose and a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccinations supplied by any well-known and reputed company.
The high altitudes may cause acute mountain sickness. They are common and mild, but some cases can be life-threatening. Symptoms include nausea, headache, shortness of breath and inability to exercise. Severe cases might require oxygen, and medications and move to lower altitudes.
